Cari visitatori e, purtroppo, pochi sostenitori,
Con un misto di profonda tristezza e amara consapevolezza, annunciamo la chiusura definitiva di www.doittoday.cloud, il sito web di HAND (Help A Nation Developing).
Confessiamo la nostra incapacità. Non abbiamo saputo "lucrare" sui pochi fondi ricevuti. Non abbiamo saputo mentire. Non abbiamo abusato di foto struggenti di bambini ciechi o morenti per commuovere. Non abbiamo capito il "core business" di questo mondo.
Perdonateci se abbiamo lavorato con trasparenza e onestà, mettendo non solo il nostro tempo, ma anche il nostro denaro. Perdonateci se abbiamo raggiunto tanta gente in difficoltà, tentando di aiutarla senza secondi fini. È proprio per questo che dobbiamo chiudere: perché nessuno ha interesse in un approccio così onesto.
Rivolgetevi pure a coloro che vi mostrano bimbi ammalati mentre loro vivono nelle ville più prestigiose delle capitali africane. Aiutateli, poverini, a mantenere le loro piscine e la loro schiera di dipendenti, a fare i loro indispensabili viaggi di "supervisione". Il mondo è questo, ed è impossibile cambiarlo.
Non chiediamo più niente a nessuno. Invece di un "vaffa", faccio il gentile: "Dio per tutti, ciascuno per sé stesso!" Questo è il motto che muove le società, e noi non ci siamo adeguati.
Agli amici africani... non ho più niente da dire, se non: "vi hanno fregato un'altra volta; e lo sapete, io sono con voi, anche se non conto un cazzo."

With a mix of deep sadness and bitter awareness, we announce the permanent closure of www.doittoday.cloud, the website of HAND (Help A Nation Developing), and its associated organization.
We confess our inability. We didn't know how to "profit" from the meager funds we received. We didn't know how to lie. We didn't exploit heart-wrenching photos of blind or dying children to stir emotions. We didn't understand the "core business" of this world.
Forgive us if we worked with transparency and honesty, investing not only our time but also our own money. Forgive us if we reached out to so many people in need, trying to help them without ulterior motives. It's precisely for this reason that we must close: because no one is interested in such an honest approach.
Feel free to turn to those who show you sick children while they live in the most prestigious villas in African capitals. Help them, poor things, to maintain their swimming pools and their retinue of employees, to make their indispensable "supervision" trips. This is how the world is, and it's impossible to change it.
We ask nothing more from anyone. Instead of a "f*** off," I'll be polite: "God for all, each for himself!" This is the motto that drives societies, and we haven't adapted.
To our African friends... I have nothing left to say, except: "They screwed you over again; and you know, I'm with you, even if I don't count for shit."
